Description Essential Skills 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java software development with a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and enterprise application development. Strong experience in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Core, and Spring Security. Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs, including API documentation tools such as OpenAPI and testing tools like Postman and SOAP UI. Experience working with AWS services such as S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, and related cloud-native technologies. Good understanding of SQL, relational databases, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment. Experience with source control systems, CI/CD tools, and Agile collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and platforms quickly and apply them effectively in product development. Familiarity with Generative AI tools and their application in software development workflows. Desired Skills Experience with SOAP-based web services, WSDL, and related integration technologies. Experience with messaging technologies such as AWS SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Kafka, or other enterprise messaging platforms. Experience with observability platforms like NewRelic. Experience with authentication and authorization frameworks, including integration with Identity Providers (IDPs) such as Okta, Google, or Microsoft Azure AD. Experience building highly scalable, high-throughput backend systems and distributed applications. Understanding of DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines. Job responsibilities Be a key member of an Agile team, contributing across the software development lifecycle from design through deployment and support. Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions for products and services. Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams to deliver new features and enhancements. Investigate and resolve complex customer and production issues. Design and document technical solutions, APIs, and system integrations. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices. Contribute to architecture discussions and recommend technology solutions for new initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth within the team. Drive improvements in performance, scalability, security, and reliability of applications and services. Leverage modern engineering practices, automation, and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery quality. Work independently with minimal guidance while taking ownership of assigned deliverables.
