**General Summary:Job Description:**As a Qualcomm Automation Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of Qualcomm's automotive software and compute platforms, particularly around Snapdragon Automotive SoCs. Your expertise in **IVI, Android, QNX, Linux, Hypervisor, Python**, and **AI adaptation in test strategy** will be instrumental in driving end-to-end automation strategy, integrating AI into test methodologies, and optimizing software components to meet industry standards and performance requirements.**Key Responsibilities:** - **Platform Expertise**: Work across Linux, QNX, and Android environments, with strong familiarity in RTOS, Hypervisors, and virtual platforms. - **Multimedia & Perception**: Test across domains like Camera, GPU, Display, and Computer Vision, often in coordination with MM domain leads - **Automation Leadership**: Drive end-to-end automation strategy, including GEN AI integration for test optimization and tool ownership. - **Leadership:**Mentoring , Driving , Planning and Reviewing Teams deliverables, working with PM/PE to understand requirements come up with test strategy , work estimates and secure deliverable. - **Programming & Scripting**: Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, C/C++, and API-level testing frameworks. - **Test Strategy & Methodologies**: Implement Level-Based Test Strategy, covering Functional, Stability, Performance, and Concurrency testing, Thermal validation, Fault Injection, and Pre-Certification readiness. - **Debugging Skills**: Utilize debugging skills, with experience in debugging using Lauterbach JTAG debuggers, to resolve software and hardware issues effectively. - **Hardware Understanding**: Possess a basic understanding of hardware components such as clocks, PLLs, GPIO, interrupt controllers (GIC), and peripherals (SPI/I2C/CAN/Ethernet). **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Proven Leadership experience in Automotive semiconductor industry. - Strong knowledge of automation and tool ownership. - Expertise in Memory, SOC Architecture, Multicore platforms. - Proficiency in Linux, Android, QNX and RTOS. - Experience with hypervisors and virtual platforms. - Skilled in API-level testing (SWE5 / SWE6) - Proficient in Python and C/C++. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. - Experience in **ASPICE**, **Functional Safety**, **ADAS**, and **Cyber Security**. **Minimum Qualifications:**• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
