Senior Legal Counsel

Job description

JD The scope of the legal services to be provided is as follows: Lead supplier negotiations and provide legal counsel for HCP contracts across various contract types (fee for services agreements, consulting agreements, speaker agreements, etc.) Provide legal support for escalated agreements and issues, working with other attorneys, business partners, and experts to ensure compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies and regulatory requirements. Work with the Global Simplification and Innovation in Contracting (GSINC) Office to improve contracting processes and templates, deliver training, harmonize documents, build playbooks, and support process improvements for greater efficiency and quality. Provide and coordinate legal support independently, contribute to cross- functional teams, and collaborate with colleagues on key contracting matters. Qualifications: Law degree (LLB or equivalent), with current certification or license to practice law. A minimum of 8-10 years’ relevant experience with, a Tier1/Tier2 law firm and/or inhouse experience at a multinational organization, is required. Proven track record drafting and negotiating HCP agreements, including US contracts Strong drafting and redlining skills; comfortable with complex terms. Excellent teamwork, relationship management, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Language skills: excellent English (both written and spoken), including for legal drafting. Sense of urgency and proven ability to prioritize to meet business demands and timelines. The contractor must be located in Mumbai, India, and be available to attend meetings scheduled in US (ET)
