**Job Description Senior Manager Maintenance (Optical Fiber Cable Plant)** **Position** Senior Manager Maintenance **Department** Engineering & Maintenance Location -**Urse, Pune** **Qualification** - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering - MBA (Preferred) **Experience** - **1218 years of total experience in Plant Maintenance.** - **Mandatory:** The candidate must have **continuous experience in Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) Manufacturing for the previous/latest 10 years.** - Experience from Automotive, FMCG, Chemical, Steel, or other manufacturing industries **will not be considered.** **Job Purpose** To lead the Maintenance function of the Optical Fiber Cable Plant by ensuring maximum machine availability, improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, managing utilities, and driving continuous improvement through preventive and predictive maintenance. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utility, and Automation maintenance activities. - Ensure maximum uptime of OFC manufacturing machines through effective preventive and predictive maintenance. - Handle breakdown analysis and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA). - Plan and execute annual shutdowns and major maintenance activities. - Maintain critical utilities including Compressors, Chillers, HVAC, DG Sets, Transformers, HT/LT Systems, Air Dryers, Water Systems, and Power Distribution. - Maintain and troubleshoot OFC manufacturing equipment including: - Fiber Coloring Lines - Ribbonizing Lines - SZ Stranding Machines - Buffering Lines - Sheathing/Jacketing Extrusion Lines - Armouring Lines - Rewinding & Take-up Systems - Spark Testers and Online Testing Equipment - Lead TPM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and reliability improvement initiatives. - Monitor machine performance through MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and downtime analysis. - Ensure availability of critical spare parts and optimize maintenance inventory. - Manage maintenance budgets, AMCs, vendor development, and contractor activities. - Ensure statutory compliance, electrical safety, and implementation of EHS standards. - Maintain SAP PM/CMMS records, maintenance history, and technical documentation. - Develop and mentor maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, Servo Drives, VFDs, and Industrial Automation. - Hands-on experience in OFC manufacturing equipment maintenance. - Expertise in Preventive, Predictive, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance. - Knowledge of SAP PM/CMMS. - Strong leadership, planning, vendor management, and problem-solving skills. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Machine Availability - Team Handling - OEE Improvement - Breakdown Reduction - Preventive Maintenance Compliance - MTBF & MTTR - Utility Availability - Maintenance Cost Control - Spare Inventory Optimization - Safety & Statutory Compliance **Mandatory Screening Criteria** - Latest **10 years of experience must be in Optical Fiber Cable Manufacturing only.** - Hands-on maintenance experience on OFC production machinery. - Experience in managing maintenance teams in a manufacturing plant. - Willing to work at **Urse, Pune**.
