**Key Responsibilities** **Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance:** Own end-to-end breakdown response and resolution for automation systems across all deployment sites. Design, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime. **Reliability Metrics:** Track, analyze, and improve MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) across facilities. Maintain uptime dashboards and drive root-cause analysis for recurring failures. **Spare Parts Planning & Management:** Develop and manage a spare parts planning strategy, inventory norms, and replenishment cycles across PAN India locations to ensure critical spares are available when needed. **Team Leadership:** Lead and manage a distributed maintenance team of 20+ personnel located across multiple automation sites nationally. Build site-level leadership capability, ensure consistent maintenance standards, and drive a strong safety and ownership culture. **Stakeholder Coordination:** Work closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Capacity Planning, and Real Estate teams to align maintenance planning with operational requirements and facility expansion timelines. **Vendor Management:** Manage relationships with automation OEMs and third-party maintenance vendors. Negotiate and enforce SLAs, monitor vendor performance, and drive accountability on response times, spare lead times, and service quality. **Reporting & Governance:** Prepare and present maintenance performance reports, cost analyses, and improvement plans to senior management on a periodic basis. **Required Qualifications & Experience** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (preferred) • 812 years of experience in automation maintenance, industrial maintenance, or plant reliability engineering, in logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, or FMCG environments - Demonstrated experience managing preventive maintenance programs and improving MTTR/MTBF at scale - Experience managing spare parts planning, inventory control, and procurement coordination • Prior experience leading large, geographically distributed maintenance teams • Experience managing OEM and third-party vendor relationships, including SLA negotiation and enforcement **Skills & Competencies** - Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-driven automation systems • Working knowledge of conveyor and sortation systems (cross-belt sorters, bag sorters, PTL, DWS, 3D sortation) preferred - Strong analytical ability to interpret maintenance and reliability data - Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills - Strong people management skills with the ability to lead through site-level teams • Willingness to travel extensively across India
