Rapid7 is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and people-focused Senior Manager, Regional Controller, APAC to oversee and scale our accounting operations across the Asia-Pacific region based out of our Pune, India office. This key management role supervises day-to-day accounting, statutory, tax, and audit responsibilities across India, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and future expansion countries, supporting Rapid7’s continued global growth as a public technology company. Joining this team offers an opportunity to lead regional close processes, coach local talent, and strengthen financial compliance frameworks at scale. **About The Team** Reporting to the Director, International Controller, the regional accounting team ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under both US GAAP and local GAAPs while driving continuous control improvements. This team focuses on empowering talent and partnering across global functions to support Rapid7’s long-term international expansion strategy. **About The Role** As a Senior Manager, Regional Controller, APAC, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and scale regional accounting operations while managing a high-performing finance team. Specifically, your focus will be to: - Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all APAC entities in accordance with corporate close schedules under US GAAP and local GAAP. - Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and financial analytics, investigating variances and partnering with FP&A and Corporate Accounting to resolve operational discrepancies. - Coordinate statutory financial statements, local audits, tax compliance, and regulatory filings across all APAC jurisdictions alongside internal Tax, Legal, and external partners. - Act as the primary operational contact for external auditors and enforce internal SOX controls and accounting policies aligned with corporate standards. - Lead, coach, and develop regional accounting managers and senior accountants, optimizing team workflows to support regional expansion. - Serve as the main operational liaison between APAC operations, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external advisors for new country setups and integrations. **The Skills And Qualities You'll Bring Include** - Bring progressive accounting experience within multinational or public company environments, supported by a recognized CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification. - Demonstrate strong operational execution across US GAAP and APAC local GAAP reporting frameworks. - Exhibit proven direct people management capabilities, with a track record of coaching, empowering, and scaling regional accounting teams. - Hold self and others responsible for driving outcomes and meeting commitments that deliver value for the business by establishing ownership and clear expectations across financial close cycles. - Make efficient decisions that resolve challenges and enable momentum during complex statutory audits and cross-border integrations. - Communicate in a clear manner that conveys objectives and rationale, fostering commitment across multi-national stakeholders and local advisors. - Build a global network and work across boundaries to deliver sustainable improvements that support business growth and compliance. - Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success.
