**Role -** The Senior Manager Finance will function as a hybrid Financial Controller and FP&A Head, owning end-to-end financial controllership, close governance, and business finance/analytics across multi-country operations. This role combines rigorous accounting oversight with strategic business partnering, ensuring financial integrity while driving insights, planning, and performance. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Financial Controllership (R2R / Close Ownership)** - Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes - Oversee journal entries, accruals, and adjustments review & approval - Ensure 100% GL reconciliation compliance via BlackLine - Own trial balance integrity and financial statement accuracy - Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations - Oversee fixed asset accounting and controls - Drive adherence to accounting standards, policies, and internal controls - Lead statutory reporting and audit management (internal & external) - Ensure timely closure of audit findings and control gaps **2. FP&A & Business Finance Leadership** - Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation cycles - Drive variance analysis (Actual vs Plan/Forecast) with actionable insights - Lead period-end reporting packs and executive dashboards - Partner with business leaders to provide financial decision support - Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and forecasting frameworks - Enable cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives - Drive performance management and KPI tracking across business units **3. Integrated Finance Governance & Insights** - Bridge financial reporting with business insights (from books to boardroom) - Ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and strategic plans - Deliver data-driven storytelling for senior leadership and clients - Strengthen financial governance, transparency, and predictability **4. Transformation & Global Delivery** - Lead multi-country R2R and FP&A transitions and migrations - Standardize and scale processes across geographies - Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, automation) - Leverage Oracle ERP and BlackLine for optimization and efficiency - Reduce close cycle timelines and enhance reporting quality **5. Client & Stakeholder Management (Critical)** - Act as primary client-facing finance leader - Manage executive stakeholder relationships and governance forums - Present financial insights, reports, and business recommendations - Handle escalations and ensure SLA-driven delivery excellence **People Leadership (Mandatory)** - Lead and manage a finance organization of ~100 FTEs across R2R and FP&A - Strong people management including coaching, succession planning, and performance management - Build a high-performing, analytically strong finance team - Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Close cycle time & accuracy - GL reconciliation completeness (BlackLine compliance) - Audit observations and control effectiveness - Budget vs Actual variance quality & predictability - Timeliness and quality of reporting packs - Business impact of financial insights - Continuous improvement outcomes (cost, efficiency, automation) **Qualifications & Experience (Mandatory)** - Commerce Graduate (mandatory); CA / MBA Finance preferred - 20+ years of experience in Finance (R2R + FP&A blend) - Proven experience managing large teams (~100 FTEs) - Strong people management experience (mandatory) - Proven client management experience (mandatory) - Demonstrated hands-on continuous improvement experience (mandatory) - Experience in multi-country finance operations - Hands-on experience in multi-tower/global transitions - Expertise in Oracle ERP and BlackLine - Experience in shared services / GCC / global delivery model preferred **Key Skills & Competencies** - Strong controllership and accounting expertise - Advanced financial analytics and business partnering capability - Excellent client-facing and executive communication skills - Leadership in large-scale operations and transformation - Strong process improvement and automation mindset - Ability to balance control vs agility in finance **Reporting Structure** - Reports to: ASDM - Direct Reports: R2R Leads, FP&A Leads **Work Environment** - Full-time Work from Office (WFO) - Location: Chennai, Siruseri Kindly share profiles on - vrushalid@hexaware.com
