Job description

**About Porter** At **Porter** , we’re on a mission to **move a billion dreams** by building the most trusted, efficient, and seamless logistics platform in India. We started in 2014 with a simple vision — to transform intra-city logistics through technology. Today, Porter is a **late-stage startup** , serving millions of users across **21+ cities** , backed by marquee investors like **Tiger Global** , **Lightrock** , and **Sequoia** . We solve real-world problems — from empowering micro-entrepreneurs and truck owners, to optimizing last-mile delivery for SMEs and enterprises. Every challenge we take on has real consequences and real impact. With a sharp focus on **user obsession, ownership, and collaboration** , we’re building a workplace where people thrive when they take bold bets, move fast, and build with empathy. If you’re looking to work where **scale meets purpose** , **complexity fuels learning** , and **culture isn’t an afterthought** , Porter is the place. **What this role owns** Porter's growth is ultimately constrained by supply. As we scale both the 2W and Truck businesses, strong OEM partnerships become a key competitive advantage. This role will own strategic relationships with OEMs across categories and work towards building long-term alignment with them. The objective isn't just to get more vehicles in the short term, but to make Porter a preferred partner for OEMs and create a sustainable supply advantage for the business. The person in this role will spend a significant amount of time working externally with OEMs and internally with Business, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and drive execution. **Key Responsibilities** **OEM Relationship Management** - Build and manage relationships with key OEMs across the 2W and Truck ecosystem. - Develop a deep understanding of OEM priorities and identify areas where Porter and OEM interests can be aligned. - Create long-term engagement plans with strategic partners instead of operating through one-off conversations or transactional asks. - Build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders across OEM organizations. **Supply Strategy & Growth** - Work closely with business leaders to understand future supply requirements and build plans to support them. - Identify opportunities to increase vehicle availability through OEM-led initiatives. - Develop partnerships that help drive vehicle acquisition and onboarding at scale. - Evaluate new OEMs and emerging opportunities that can strengthen Porter's supply ecosystem. **Partnerships & Commercial Discussions** - Lead discussions and negotiations with OEMs on strategic initiatives. - Structure partnerships that create value for both Porter and the OEM. - Drive alignment on initiatives that can improve supply, growth, or economics. - Ensure partnerships move beyond conversations and translate into tangible business outcomes. **Cross-Functional Leadership** - Work across Business, Operations, Product, Finance, and Driver Acquisition teams to drive execution. - Bring stakeholders together around common objectives and keep initiatives moving. - Resolve roadblocks and ensure accountability across teams. - Create regular reviews and updates for leadership on key partnerships and strategic initiatives. **Market & Ecosystem Understanding** - Stay close to developments in the automotive, mobility, logistics, and EV ecosystem. - Understand what OEMs are prioritizing and how the industry is evolving. - Bring insights and recommendations back to the business. - Help shape Porter's long-term supply strategy based on market trends and opportunities. **What we're looking for** - 6–10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategic accounts, category management, or related business roles. - Experience managing senior external stakeholders. - Strong commercial and negotiation skills. - Ability to drive outcomes across teams without direct authority. - Proven track record of owning business outcomes, not just managing relationships. - Strong problem-solving and structured thinking.
