Senior Manager - Underwriting

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** Handle Commercial Lines products: Fire & Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, Group Health & Miscellaneous Insurance etc. Conduct risk inspections and prepare risk assessment reports. Analyze RFQs, policy terms, and customer requirements. Coordinate with underwriting teams for quotations and approvals. Negotiate premiums and coverage with brokers and corporate clients. Support Relationship Managers (RMs) in acquiring new business and renewing existing accounts. Prepare technical presentations and insurance solutions for clients. Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal underwriting policies. Manage large corporate accounts through brokers and direct channels. Maintain strong relationships with Agents and Brokers Monitor portfolio profitability, claims experience, and loss ratios. **Preferred candidate profile** Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance products. Understanding of underwriting and risk engineering. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Broker and corporate relationship management. Analytical mind-set with good Excel and MIS reporting skills.
