Job Title: Senior Network Engineer SD-WAN & Enterprise Networking **Location:** Remote **Experience:** 8+ Years **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Hiring Type:** Team Expansion About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Network Engineer SD-WAN & Enterprise Networking** to join a dynamic team supporting Cisco customers globally. This role will focus on delivering design, implementation, migration, optimization, and troubleshooting services across enterprise networking environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in **Routing & Switching, Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), WAN/LAN technologies, and Cisco Catalyst 8000 platforms**, along with excellent customer-facing and consulting capabilities. As a trusted technical advisor, you will work directly with customers to modernize network infrastructure, perform software and hardware upgrades, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure optimal network performance in production environments. Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation - Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network infrastructures. - Lead implementations involving: - Routing & Switching - Cisco SD-WAN - WAN/LAN Technologies - Enterprise Edge Connectivity - Develop scalable and resilient network architectures. - Perform hardware refresh and software upgrade activities in live customer environments. SD-WAN Deployment & Optimization - Design and implement Cisco SD-WAN solutions. - Configure and manage: - Cisco Viptela - SD-WAN Controllers - WAN Edge Devices - Transport Networks - Support migration from traditional WAN to SD-WAN architectures. - Optimize network performance, resiliency, and application experience. Routing & Switching - Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex enterprise networks. - Support routing protocols such as: - BGP - OSPF - EIGRP - Static Routing - Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching environments. - Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across enterprise infrastructures. Customer Support & Professional Services - Serve as a technical partner to customers during deployment and migration projects. - Gather and analyze customer requirements. - Provide technical consultation and implementation guidance. - Participate in design reviews, implementation planning, and optimization engagements. - Ensure successful project execution with minimal disruption to business operations. Troubleshooting & Incident Management - Troubleshoot complex network issues across Layers 1–7. - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents. - Resolve critical customer-impacting outages. - Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements. Network Optimization - Assess existing network infrastructure and recommend enhancements. - Improve network performance, reliability, scalability, and security. - Deliver optimization reports and best-practice recommendations. Documentation & Communication - Create and maintain: - High-Level Design (HLD) - Low-Level Design (LLD) - Migration Plans - Runbooks - Network Diagrams - Technical Documentation - Communicate technical concepts effectively to customers and stakeholders. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. - 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Networking. - Strong expertise in Routing & Switching technologies. - Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting Cisco SD-WAN solutions. - Experience working with Cisco Catalyst 8000 Series platforms. - Strong understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN architectures. - Experience supporting production and live customer environments. - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
