At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact. ## **Job Overview** A Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 10-12 years of experience is expected to function as a technical expert and a key contributor to application development projects. Their responsibilities go beyond basic coding to encompass design, optimization, and leadership. **Technical competencies:** - Candidate must have at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in Oracle, plSQL, Oracle data modeling. - Candidate should have worked on at least one data modeling tool – e.g. IBM Infosphere or ERWin or Toad etc. - Candidate should conceptual, logical, and physical data models. - Ensure data integrity, stability, and security across databases. - Optimize and tune data models for performance. - Identify each entity's characteristics and properties and ensure that the entities can be differentiated within the model. - Develop a logical data model and validate the model to ensure that it meets the business and functional requirement. - Collaborate with the BI and Analytics teams on creating the optimized, reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage information. - Candidate must be hands-on in plsql procedure, function, packages and trigger. - Candidate must be hands-on in analytical, hierarchical queries, Aggregate Functions – especially usability - Candidate must have hands-on in various type of joins/partition/Index, views, MVs and how to maintain? - Candidate must have hands-on in writing complex Queries like Nested queries, inline views, co-related subqueries etc. **Responsibilities:** - Development and Support: Develop, test, and debug sophisticated PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to implement complex business logic within the database and support L2/L3 team for production issues. - Mentorship and Guidance: Act as a mentor to other developers, providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Establishing Standards: Define and document database development standards, best practices, and reusable code libraries to improve team productivity and code quality. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend and backend developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions. - Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting complex production issues related to the database, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis. **Education:** - Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience - ## **Job Family Group:** Technology - ## **Job Family:** Applications Development - ## **Time Type:** Full time - ## **Most Relevant Skills** Please see the requirements listed above. - ## **Other Relevant Skills** For complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter. - *Citi is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.*
