Job description

**Role & responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities** - Preparation of Stress Critical Line List based on project design parameters and system criticality. - Carrying out piping stress analysis for critical piping systems including: - Large diameter piping systems - High temperature lines - Lines connected to sensitive static equipment - Piping connected to rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines. - Evaluation of equipment nozzle loads and ensuring compliance with allowable limits as per applicable codes and vendor data. - Review and validation of piping stress analysis reports submitted by engineering vendors or third-party consultants. - Preparation and compilation of IBR documentation packages and coordination for statutory approval. - Generation of pipe support reactions and load data for Civil/Structural design and preparation of support assignment drawings. - Selection, specification, and placement of pipe supports, including rigid supports, spring supports, and special supports. - Preparation of datasheets and technical bid evaluations (TBE) for special items such as Expansion Joints and Spring Hangers. - Coordination with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure proper integration of piping flexibility, support configuration, and structural requirements. - Participation in design reviews, model reviews, and technical discussions with internal teams, vendors, and clients. - Ultimate goal of achieving economy without compromising on quality & time. - To study contract, tech spec, post contract approval and thereby generate extra contractual claims. **Preferred candidate profile** - B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. - Around 20 years of relevant experience in piping engineering and stress analysis for large industrial projects. - Experience in Steel or Oil & Gas sector projects will be preferred.
