Working closely with KPMG firms, which leverage our teams for enablement across functions such as Insights & Risk management, Sales Enablement, Digital Experience & Business Services, Technology Services and Transformation, CH forms an integral part of KGS’ strategy to innovate, build, scale and improve profitability. **The Role** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with expertise in enterprise reporting, analytics, dashboard development, and Power BI platform support. The role combines hands-on Power BI development with responsibility for supporting production reporting environments, ensuring platform stability, resolving incidents, and continuously improving analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modelling, report optimization, and stakeholder engagement, along with exposure to application support and production operations. **Technical Responsibilities** **Power BI Development** - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and self-service analytics solutions. - Develop solutions using: - Power BI Desktop - Power BI Service - DAX - Power Query - Dataflows - Paginated Reports - Build reusable semantic models, datasets, KPIs, and executive dashboards. - Design and implement Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data models. - Optimize dashboard performance, DAX calculations, refresh efficiency, and report usability. - Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace governance, and access management. **SQL, Data Integration & Analytics** - Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and reporting datasets. - Support data extraction, transformation, and integration processes. - Work with MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and enterprise data platforms. - Troubleshoot data quality, refresh, and reconciliation issues. - Collaborate with Data Engineering and DBA teams to improve reporting performance and reliability. **Stakeholder Management & Leadership** - Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements. - Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions. - Mentor junior Power BI developers and support team members. - Conduct report reviews and recommend best practices for data visualization and dashboard design. - Provide technical guidance on BI strategy, governance, and reporting standards. **Application Support & Operations** - Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Power BI reporting platforms and analytics solutions. - Monitor report performance, dataset refreshes, gateway connectivity, and platform health. - Investigate and resolve report failures, refresh issues, data inconsistencies, and user-reported defects. - Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution within SLA timelines. - Support report deployments, workspace migrations, publishing activities, and release validations. - Participate in production support activities and major incident management when required. - Maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles. **Qualification** **Power BI & Analytics** - 6–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Reporting. - Strong expertise in: - Power BI Desktop & Service - DAX - Power Query - Dataflows - Paginated Reports - RLS - Workspace Administration - Experience building enterprise dashboards, scorecards, operational reports, and executive reporting solutions. **Data & SQL** - Advanced SQL development skills. - Strong experience with: - Query Optimization - Stored Procedures - Views - Data Modeling - Data Warehousing Concepts **Support & Operations** - Experience supporting production-critical Power BI environments. - Knowledge of incident management, RCA, monitoring, and operational support processes. - Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or equivalent platforms. **Nice to Have** - Azure Data Factory - Azure Synapse Analytics - Microsoft Fabric - Power Apps - Power Automate - CI/CD for Power BI deployments - ITIL exposure
