Role: Senior QA Automation Analyst Experience: 5+ Years Location: Chennai Notice period: Only early joiners are preferred Domain: Financial Services / Banking / BFSI domain exposure Role Overview This role is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance, test case creation, and test automation for enterprise software applications. The team needs a seasoned QA Analyst to improve overall test coverage, catch defects early, and support rapid release cycles within an Agile/DevOps environment. Its core purpose is to drive both functional and automated testing standards while safeguarding software quality and business continuity. Key Responsibilities • Define end-to-end (E2E) testing scope, write test cases, and manage test execution. • Build, maintain, and execute robust test automation suites and scripts to support rapid software releases. • Manage defect lifecycles in JIRA and create daily/weekly testing status and blocker reports. • Analyze business, functional, technical, and UI requirements across the SDLC. • Perform API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and investigate production issues by recreating them in test environments. • Collaborate across development, testing, and support teams to clarify specifications and mitigate risks. Core Requirements & Eligibility • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a QA Automation role. (Hands on QA experience in the Financial Services/BFSI industry is highly preferred). • Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent. Skillset Breakdown • Primary (Must-Have): Automation Framework Development (Selenium / Cucumber / TestNG / Cypress), Programming (Java / Python), API Testing (Postman, RestAssured), CI/CD & Build Tools (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git), SQL Database querying, Agile/Scrum/DevOps, BDD/TDD frameworks, Defect Management (JIRA). • Secondary (Nice-to-Have): Performance Testing (JMeter, LoadRunner), AI-driven testing (self-healing locators, visual comparison), Basic AI prompt engineering for test artifact generation, Non-functional testing (Recovery testing).
