Detailed Job Description – Functional Tester (BFSI Domain) **Role:** Functional / UAT Tester **Experience:** 8–10 Years (Around 8 Years Preferred) **Location:** Hyderabad **Employment Type:** Full-Time Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Functional Tester with strong expertise in Manual Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) domain knowledge. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test planning, test execution, defect management, and stakeholder collaboration. Exposure to test automation tools such as Tosca or Selenium WebDriver is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Functional & UAT Testing - Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. - Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data for functional and UAT testing. - Execute end-to-end functional testing to validate application behavior against business requirements. - Coordinate and support business users during UAT cycles. - Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools. - Ensure test coverage across all business processes and application workflows. - Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective. BFSI Domain Testing - Validate banking, financial services, and insurance-related business processes. - Perform testing for financial transactions, customer onboarding, payments, lending, cards, wealth management, insurance, or other BFSI applications. - Ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements. - Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand domain-specific functionalities. Automation Exposure - Assist in identifying test cases suitable for automation. - Exposure to Tosca or Selenium WebDriver for automation testing. - Execute and maintain automated test scripts when required. - Support regression testing activities through automation frameworks. Defect Management & Reporting - Track defects through their lifecycle. - Prepare test execution reports and status updates. - Work closely with development teams to resolve issues and ensure quality deliverables. Required Skills - 7–9 years of experience in Functional Testing and Manual Testing. - Strong experience in UAT Testing. - Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle. - Strong BFSI domain experience (Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance). - Experience in Test Case Design, Test Execution, Defect Tracking, and Reporting. - Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills - Exposure to Tosca Automation or Selenium WebDriver. - Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
