**About the Role** We are looking for a highly creative and seasoned **Senior Scriptwriter** to spearhead the narrative engine of Yesmadam’s YouTube channel and video marketing campaigns. This isn't just about writing dialogues; you will be responsible for creating high-retention storytelling that cracks the YouTube algorithm, hooks viewers in the first 3 seconds, and seamlessly blends entertainment with brand trust. If you understand YouTube pacing, audience psychology, and how to structure content for maximum average watch time, this role is for you. **Key Responsibilities** - **Long-Form & Shorts Scripting:** Conceptualize and write end-to-end, high-retention scripts for YouTube long-form videos, narrative-driven Reels, and performance ad campaigns. - **Mastery over Hooks & Pacing:** Architect video structures, psychological hooks, and visual transitions that systematically reduce drop-off rates and maximize watch time. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner directly with the video production team, editors, and YouTube Strategist to ensure the written script translates perfectly into the final video edit. - **Platform Optimization:** Adapt scripts and content angles for various platform formats (YouTube, Instagram, and programmatic video ads), maintaining a sharp, consistent brand voice. - **Trend Spotting:** Continuously study YouTube trends, formats, and viral hooks, applying those insights to rapidly script timely, culturally relevant content. **Requirements** - **Experience:** 3–6 years of core scriptwriting experience with a strong focus on **YouTube content creation**, ad agencies, or high-growth D2C brands. - **Portfolio:** A robust portfolio showcasing successfully produced video scripts (please include links to YouTube videos or channels you have written for). - **Industry Edge (Bonus):** Direct experience writing content for the beauty, personal care, skincare, or hyperlocal service industries is highly preferred. - **Execution Style:** Exceptionally fast, adaptable, and deeply comfortable brainstorming and executing in a high-octane startup environment.
