**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a **Senior Software Engineer** with strong expertise in Python, Java full stack, GenAI and modern UI technologies. This role focuses on building scalable, high-quality applications, driving user experience and engineering excellence, leveraging emerging **agentic AI-driven development approaches** to enhance productivity and innovation. In this role, you will: - Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments - Contribute to large scale planning of strategies - Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments - Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures - Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements - Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals - Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education - Proficiency in Python, React, Angular Node.js - Strong hands-on experience in frontend technologies and frameworks - Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 - Experience building scalable, maintainable UI applications - Experience or familiarity with agentic AI tools / coding assistants Desired Qualifications: - Exposure to Java Full Stack - Working knowledge of workflow automation platforms such as Camunda - Experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) - Strong understanding of modern UI/UX principles - Hands-on usage of AI tools for day-to-day development tasks Job Expectations: - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Proficiency in using GitHub Actions and other version control systems is essential for managing code and deployments - Knowledge on database technologies: MongoDB, SQL/No SQL DB. - Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders
