Job Title: R&D Senior Member of Technical Staff (Test) Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Regular, full-time , hybrid work arrangement   The job   We are seeking a self-driven Senior Test Engineer with expertise in test automation and cloud-based testing. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, contribute to manual testing, and collaborate with developers and architects in a Scrum team. This role requires strong technical skills, ownership, and a QA mindset to ensure the quality and scalability of business-critical applications.   Key responsibilities  • Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, performance, security, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards. • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them. • Validate APIs, services, and database interactions related to .NET applications. • Provide early feedback in the development of lifecycles to reduce defects and improve design. • Collaborate with developers and architects to establish service-level expectations. • Mentor/guide junior engineers on routine issues / Review junior engineer’s work/delivery • Continuously grow your technical skills in an environment of rapidly evolving technology • Owns project deliveries, procedures and designs within the role   Essential requirements • 7+ years of strong analytical, problem-solving, and programming skills. • Proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming. • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as MSTest, xUnit, NUnit, TestComplete, and Playwright preferred. • Experience with cloud services/micro services (Azure), API and UI test automation (Postman, Swagger, or similar). • Experience with development tools: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Fiddler, Code Review, Code Coverage. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerized environments • Familiarity with WEB/REST API’s, SQL servers, Auth0/Identity server concepts • Good communication skills, working with a broad range of people, including Product Owners, Developers and Architects • Good to have - Familiarity with IaaS/SaaS/PaaS architecture and microservice architecture Desired skills and competencies • Curiosity to explore emerging cloud and security technologies and apply them effectively (Curiosity) • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions to complex challenges (Impact) • Effective collaboration and communication when working with customers and cross-functional teams (Trust) • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality outcomes (Aspiration) R&D at AVEVA  Our global team of 2000+ developers work on an incredibly diverse portfolio of over 75 industrial automation and engineering products, which cover everything from data management to 3D design.
