**The Team:** The Hitachi Vantara Solutions Architecture and Engineering team is seeking a **Senior Solution Architect** with deep expertise in **container platforms, Red Hat OpenShift, virtualization, and automation** to drive modern infrastructure architectures across enterprise environments. **The Role:** In this role, you will define and deliver **cloud-native, containerized, and hybrid infrastructure solutions** built on Hitachis Integrated Platformsleveraging **OpenShift, Kubernetes, virtualization technologies, and advanced automation frameworks like Ansible and MCP** . You will work at the intersection of **platform engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure modernization** , helping customers transition from traditional data centers to **automated, scalable, and resilient cloud-native ecosystems** . **What Youll Do** **Architecture Platform Engineering** - Design and deliver **cloud-native architectures** leveraging **Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems** - Architect **hybrid cloud platforms** integrating **virtualization (Red Hat Virtualization, KVM , VMware )** with containerized workloads - Develop **reference architectures and validated designs** for enterprise-scale deployments **Automation Infrastructure as Code** - Lead automation initiatives using **Ansible, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and IaC frameworks** - Build reusable, scalable **automation pipelines for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management** - Drive **GitOps and DevOps practices** across infrastructure and platform layers **Solution Development Validation** - Design, implement, and validate integrated solutions on **Hitachi Unified/Integrated Platforms** - Create **test plans, performance benchmarks, and validation reports** for containerized and virtualized environments - Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for **high availability, resilience, and scalability** **Container OpenShift Leadership** - Act as a **subject matter expert for OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms** - Define best practices for **container lifecycle management, security, observability, and multi-cluster operations** - Enable customers to modernize applications using **microservices and container-first strategies** **Collaboration Thought Leadership** - Partner with engineering, product, and field teams to influence roadmap and innovation - Deliver **technical presentations, whitepapers, and executive briefings** - Engage with customers and partners as a **trusted advisor** to drive transformation initiatives **What You Bring** **Core Technical Expertise** - Deep experience with **Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems** - Strong background in **virtualization technologies** (Red Hat Virtualization, KVM, Hyper-V , VMware ) - Proven experience designing **hybrid cloud and modern data center platforms** - Hands-on expertise with **Ansible automation and Infrastructure as Code frameworks** - Familiarity with **MCP (Model Context Protocol) or modern automation/orchestration paradigms** **Infrastructure Platform Knowledge** - Solid understanding of **compute, storage, and networking across enterprise environments** - Experience with **software-defined infrastructure and hyperconverged platforms** - Strong knowledge of **storage protocols (NFS, SAN, etc.) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, etc.)** - **Hitachi storage** experience is a plus - Experience with **GPU-enabled systems and modern hardware platforms** is a plus **Cloud DevOps** - Experience with **public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)** and hybrid integrations - Strong understanding of **DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps , and platform engineering principles** **Automation Scripting** - Hands-on experience in **Python, shell scripting** , and automation frameworks - Exposure to tools like **Terraform, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD technologies** **What Sets You Apart** - Passion for **cloud-native transformation and platform innovation** - Ability to simplify complex systems into **scalable, automated architectures** - Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate at **enterprise scale and ambiguity** - Exceptional communication skills with experience influencing **senior technical and executive stakeholders** **Why Join Us** - Work on **cutting-edge container and hybrid cloud platforms** at global scale - Collaborate with **top industry talent and Fortune 100 customers** - Drive innovation across **OpenShift, automation, and next-gen infrastructure** - Be part of a culture that values **learning, ownership, and impact** **Qualifications** - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - Extensive hands-on experience in **enterprise infrastructure, containers, and automation** #LI-SP7
