**Job Title** Quality Control (QC) Executive **Department** Quality Control **Reports To** QC Manager / Quality Assurance Manager **Job Summary** The Quality Control Executive is responsible for sampling, testing, inspection, and documentation of raw materials to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications before being approved for production. The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable quality and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform sampling of incoming raw materials according to approved sampling procedures and SOPs. - Conduct physical, chemical, and/or microbiological testing of raw materials as per approved specifications and test methods. - Record test results accurately in laboratory records, logbooks, and electronic systems. - Verify that all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained before use. - Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA), test reports, and inspection records where applicable. - Identify, document, and report any non-conforming or out-of-specification (OOS) results to the QC Manager. - Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of sampled materials and retained samples. - Maintain complete traceability of samples and test records. - Follow GMP, GLP, safety, and laboratory housekeeping requirements. - Assist in investigations related to quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Coordinate with the warehouse, production, and procurement teams regarding material status (Approved, Rejected, or Under Test). - Maintain laboratory inventory of reagents, chemicals, and consumables. - Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections as required. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or a related discipline. - 13 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory (fresh graduates may be considered for trainee positions). **Required Skills** - Knowledge of raw material sampling and testing procedures. - Familiarity with laboratory instruments and testing techniques. - Understanding of GMP, GLP, and quality management systems. - Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. - Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Basic computer skills, including MS Office and laboratory documentation systems. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Timely completion of raw material sampling and testing. - Accuracy and completeness of laboratory records. - Compliance with SOPs, GMP, and safety requirements. - Number of testing errors or documentation deviations. - On-time release of raw materials for production. - Laboratory housekeeping and audit compliance.
