Job Summary The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of HVAC systems and Building Management Systems (BMS). The role requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability of building infrastructure systems while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities HVAC Systems • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment, including:• Chillers • AHUs (Air Handling Units) • FCUs (Fan Coil Units) • VRF/VRV systems • Package units • Split and ducted air conditioning systems • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults. • Conduct inspections, testing, and performance evaluations of HVAC equipment. • Replace faulty components and ensure system reliability. • Maintain service records and maintenance reports. Building Management System (BMS) • Monitor and troubleshoot BMS controls and automation systems. • Support BMS commissioning, programming adjustments, and configuration changes. • Ensure proper integration between HVAC systems and BMS platforms. • Analyze alarms, trends, and system data to identify operational issues. • Coordinate with control engineers for system upgrades and enhancements. Customer Service & Compliance • Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly. • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers. • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies. • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory. • Prepare service reports, work completion reports, and maintenance logs. Required Qualifications • Diploma/ITI/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Instrumentation, or related field. • 2-5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and BMS operations. • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, and automation systems. • Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics. • Familiarity with BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, or equivalent.
