The role focuses on ensuring seamless data migration, integrity, security, and minimal business disruption. You will play a key role in enabling digital workplace transformation by modernizing legacy data environments. Collaborate with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant migration delivery. This position is critical in ensuring successful adoption of SharePoint as a centralized document management platform - Role: SharePoint Migration - Location: All Persistent Locations - Experience : 4-7 Years - Job Type: Full Time Employment **What You'll Do** - Responsible for planning, executing, and validating migration activities - Ensures adherence to governance, compliance, and best practices throughout migration lifecycle - Drives end-to-end migration execution, including data mapping, permissions alignment, and validation - Supports enterprise transformation by ensuring high-quality and risk-free migration outcomes **Expertise You'll Bring** Migration Planning & Strategy - Analyze source environments (file shares, legacy systems) for migration readiness - Define migration approach, wave planning, and execution strategy - Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies - Collaborate with stakeholders to align migration timelines and prioritie Migration Execution - Execute migrations using tools such as ShareGate / SPMT - Perform file share to SharePoint Online migration activities - Handle bulk data movement with minimal downtime and disruption - Ensure data consistency, structure alignment, and integrity during migration Data & Permissions Mapping - Perform data mapping from legacy structures to SharePoint architecture - Translate NTFS permissions to RBAC models - Ensure correct user/group mapping and access controls - Validate content structure, metadata, and folder hierarchy transformation Validation & Quality Assurance - Conduct pre- and post-migration validation checks - Execute data reconciliation and completeness verification - Identify and resolve migration issues (missing files, permissions, errors) - Ensure compliance with data governance and audit requirements Automation & Scripting - Use PowerShell scripting for migration automation and reporting - Optimize migration tasks for performance and repeatability - Develop scripts for bulk operations, monitoring, and validation Governance & Compliance - Ensure migrations align with security, compliance, and governance policies - Work closely with governance teams to ensure labeling, retention, and policies are applied - Maintain audit logs and migration documentation Support & Troubleshooting - Provide L2/L3 support for migration-related issues - Troubleshoot tool errors, permission issues, and migration failures - Support cutover activities and post-migration stabilization Collaboration & Delivery - Participate in planning, design, testing, and rollout phases - Work with cross-functional teams (infra, security, business, SME) - Support documentation, reporting, knowledge transfer, and training inputs - Deliver outcomes aligned with overall transformation program goals **Benefits** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
