Job Location: Gurugram Plant Job Title: Shift Incharge - Transportation Level in the organization JE/SE Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Graduation (With Specialization): Bachelor's Degree in Logistic, Commerce, Business Administration, or any related field. Post Graduation (With Specialization): Preferable PG Diploma in Logistics Work Experience: 2-9 yrs Job Responsibilities • Plan and deploy buses as per shift schedules and employee transportation requirements. • Ensure timely arrival and departure of employee buses according to approved routes and timings. • Monitor daily bus operations, vehicle utilization, and route compliance. • Coordinate with drivers, conductors, transport contractors, and employees to ensure smooth transportation services. • Verify driver attendance, duty allocation, and availability of vehicles for each shift. • Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, company safety standards, and statutory requirements. • Monitor vehicle condition and coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance. • Handle transportation-related emergencies, breakdowns, accidents, and employee grievances promptly. • Maintain records of vehicle movement, fuel consumption, driver deployment, attendance, and transportation performance. • Track and report key transportation metrics such as punctuality, vehicle availability, and route efficiency. • Conduct regular inspections of buses to ensure cleanliness, safety equipment availability, and roadworthiness. • Coordinate with security and administration departments regarding employee movement and transportation arrangements. • Ensure optimal utilization of transportation resources and control transportation costs. • Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and service disruptions, and recommend corrective actions. • Support implementation of transportation improvement initiatives and digital tracking systems (GPS, ERP, etc.). • Ensure adherence to company policies, transportation SOPs, and contractor performance standards. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transportation operation reports for management review. • Supervise and guide transportation staff to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient employee transportation services. • Shift operation Competencies / Skills • Safe and timely transportation of employees. • Efficient deployment of buses and drivers. • Compliance with statutory and safety requirements. • Effective coordination with transport contractors and employees. • Minimal transportation disruptions and employee complaints. • Accurate maintenance of operational records and reports.
