Project Role : Silicon Firmware & Embedded Engineer Project Role Description : Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations. Must have skills : Embedded C++ Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 Year(s) Of Experience Is Required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves creating and refining the software that controls and operates silicon chips. This role includes developing firmware before the silicon is finalized, working closely with hardware interfaces, and integrating various tests and application programming interfaces. The engineer also participates in software build processes, conducts thorough design and code evaluations, and ensures that product implementations meet quality standards through rigorous testing and validation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align software with hardware capabilities is a key aspect of daily activities. Roles & Responsibilities: • Expected to perform independently and become an SME. • Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. • Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware and silicon components. • Document design decisions and test results to support knowledge sharing and future development. • Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding embedded systems. • Continuously improve firmware development processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C++. • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and hardware-software interfacing. • Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems. • Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Familiarity with software build systems and version control tools. • Knowledge of real-time operating systems and low-level programming concepts. Additional Information: • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Embedded C++. • This position is based at our BDC7C - SEZ office. • A 15 years full time education is required.
