**The Opportunity** The Small Power Lighting Engineer shall Analyze customer specification to ensure Hitachi Energy solution meets the customer requirements. Good knowledge of the Small Power Lighting system is required. **How You’ll Make An Impact** - Obtaining knowledge of system requirements in accordance with Client´s specification. - Obtaining knowledge of small power lighting system deliverables in accordance with the project setup. - Design/Review custom lighting solutions that meet HVDC specifications and budget. - Understand Customer needs, project goals, and aesthetic preferences. - Recommend appropriate lighting switches/sockets including fixtures meeting the Customer requirements and in line with the HVDC Plant Standards and EMC Requirements. - Managing the interface between the collaborative team including global resources within Aux System group, allocated for each project. - Work closely with Partners/consortium, architects and interior designers to integrate lighting plans into overall design concepts. - Provide Customer with detailed plans and visualizations of proposed lighting designs for indoor, outdoor, Facade lights, Road lights and access pathway lights, small power. - Obtaining knowledge on IEC, IS, BS, ASHRAE. Knowledge of DIALUX, Agi32 simulation tools. Prepare detailed specifications, photometric calculations, and cost estimates. - Interface with cross functional Departments for ease in working with common project model ACAD, 3D models. - Coordinate with suppliers and Installation partners to ensure timely delivery and installation of lighting products. - Ensure all lighting designs comply with EMC, Building code, safety and energy regulations. - You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. **Your Background** - You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - You should have 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably with digital twin, BIM, or related solutions. - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript, with a focus on software design patterns and architecture. - Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and automation techniques, particularly as they apply to 3D/2D modeling and design. - Experience working with BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and knowledge of AIM systems, experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical application and innovation. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
