Job Description Subject Matter Expert / Category Associate – MPSC Company: Testbook Category: Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Position: Subject Matter Expert Employment Type: Full-time Joining: Immediate Location: Noida Role Overview : We are looking for a highly competent and exam-oriented professional to join Testbook’s MPSC category as a Subject Matter Expert or Category Associate. The selected candidate will be responsible for strengthening the academic quality, course planning, content development, test series, and overall growth of the MPSC category. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the MPSC State Services examination, Maharashtra-specific subjects, current affairs, examination trends, previous-year questions, and the requirements of Marathi- and English-medium aspirants. Key Responsibilities Academic and Content Responsibilities ● Develop and review high-quality content for MPSC Prelims and Mains examinations. ● Create and review mock tests, sectional tests, practice questions, PYQ-based questions, study notes, current affairs material, and revision resources. ● Ensure factual accuracy, language quality, conceptual clarity, and alignment with the latest MPSC syllabus and examination pattern. ● Analyse previous-year papers, recent MPSC trends, cut-offs, question patterns, and changes in the examination. ● Prepare detailed content plans, test-series blueprints, course structures, and academic calendars. ● Coordinate with faculty members, content creators, translators, reviewers, and video-production teams. ● Identify content gaps and recommend new courses, test series, study materials, and academic initiatives. ● Maintain consistency and quality across Marathi and English content. Category and Business Responsibilities ● Support the planning and execution of the overall MPSC category strategy. ● Monitor learner engagement, course performance, test participation, feedback, and content consumption. ● Work closely with marketing, product, sales, operations, and academic teams to improve category performance. ● Conduct competitor analysis and track developments in the MPSC preparation ecosystem. ● Suggest campaigns, free initiatives, workshops, webinars, quizzes, and learner-engagement activities. ● Assist in faculty identification, onboarding, scheduling, and academic coordination. ● Respond to learner feedback and help resolve content- or course-related concerns. ● Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery. Required Qualifications ● Graduation or post-graduation from a recognised university. ● Strong knowledge of the MPSC State Services examination, including its syllabus, pattern, and preparation requirements. ● Good understanding of Maharashtra-specific history, geography, polity, economy, administration, culture, and current affairs. ● Strong command of Marathi and English. ● Ability to create, review, and improve competitive-examination content. ● Good analytical, research, communication, and coordination skills. ● Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple academic projects simultaneously. Preferred Candidate Profile Preference will be given to candidates who have one or more of the following: ● Appeared for MPSC State Services Prelims, Mains, or Interview. ● Qualified MPSC Prelims or Mains. ● Previous experience as an SME, content developer, faculty member, academic coordinator, or category associate. ● Experience working with an EdTech company, coaching institute, publishing house, or competitive-examination platform. ● Experience in developing MPSC test series, notes, current affairs, or online courses. ● Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, content-management systems, and online teaching platforms. ● Ability to understand learner behaviour and convert academic insights into actionable category initiatives.
