**Snowflake Performance Engineer Job Description** **Experience:** **8 to 12** **years** **Key Responsibilities** - Drive performance engineering initiatives including query tuning, workload optimization, and efficient resource utilization. - Design and implement scalable data models and ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and industry-standard data warehousing practices. - Develop complex stored procedures and performance-optimized data processing logic within Snowflake. - Define and implement Snowflake best practices across virtual warehouse sizing, workload isolation, and cost-performance optimization. - Configure and manage Snowflake advanced features such as resource monitors, RBAC, zero-copy cloning, and time travel. - Implement and enforce data security, governance, and access control frameworks aligned with enterprise standards. **Required Skills &** **Expertise** - Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and advanced optimization techniques. - Deep understanding of virtual warehouse management, concurrency scaling, and query performance diagnostics. - Proficiency in ELT design using Snowflake SQL and experience with metadata-driven frameworks. - Strong knowledge of data modeling (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas) and DWH concepts. - Strong knowledge of data security models, including RBAC, data masking, and access governance. **Nice to Have** - Exposure to Lakehouse architectures and hybrid data platform patterns. - Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks in cloud environments. - Experience in enterprise data governance, compliance, and audit frameworks.
