The Kindle Core Services team is responsible for managing and orchestrating the pipelines for ebook conversion from publisher and author uploaded source content in any format to the device compatible format which gives a rich reading experience for the reader. The team ensures to constantly enhance the systems and pipelines to improve the speed and reliability of book conversion. Our Organization is looking for an inventive and technically passionate Software Development Manager to join our diverse team at the forefront of delighting millions of readers around the world. As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technical vision of your team and will have a strong influence on the overall strategy behind Kindle content security. You are comfortable with high-levels of ambiguity and make thoughtful trade-offs utilizing strong judgement and data. You have hands-on technical expertise and will lead a team of highly competent engineers through design, development and launch of high-visibility, high-impact projects. You will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and the reward of seeing your contributions build trust with authors and publishers. Additional responsibilities of this role include engaging with various stake-holders across business and product management.Key job responsibilities· Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle of a key products· Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments· Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment· Management of staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-in-class engineering team· Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management· Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach· Develop the long-term strategy for Kindle Content security and translate it into an achievable road map/action plan. Champion and lead the team through the GenAI transformation SDLC journey
