As Senior Software Engineer at CCRA team within the Markets platform and Risk & Finance Lab, you will be working in our development team, where you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role.Few responsibilities in this role includes Responsibilities - Ability to build efficient and reusable backend systems and abstractions - Identifyperformance issues and general improvements, implementing backend best practices - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend systems - Build and optimise Spark/Scala-based processing frameworks for large-scale datasets - Implement end-to-end data ingestion workflows - Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers, and DevOps Teams to build refine design, functionality, features, and experiments - Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions - Support production runs / batch processing cycles and troubleshoot failures - Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) for deployment automation - Participate in design and code reviews - Growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions - Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills **Whatyou’llneed:** - Bachelor's or Master’s degree (or equivalent) inEngineering - **Strong hands-on experience in Java, Scala + Apache Spark** - **Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Dataproc)** - **Experience with Kafka** - Strong working knowledge of Git / GitHub, Jenkins, Jira / Confluence - Should be willing to work with maintenance of a large legacy batch system. - Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI - Candemonstratean understanding of the conceptsregardingcomputer programming - Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders **About working for Lloyds Technology Centre:** Ournew technologycentrein Hyderabad will be home to highly skilled technology and data specialists who will be driving our transformation and delivering great outcomes for Lloyds Banking Group’s customers.
