**Minimum qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. - 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting. - 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, etc. **Preferred qualifications:** - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. - Experience in front-end development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML or CSS. - Experience with back-end development in Java, Go, or C++. - Experience developing accessible technologies. **About the job** Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In the simplest terms, we are Google for Googlers. **Responsibilities** - Develop code for products or systems. - Conduct or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select technologies. - Review code developed by other peers and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices in coding style, accuracy, testability and efficiency. - Update documentation and educational materials based on product changes and user feedback. - Triage and resolve technical issues by diagnosing sources and evaluating effects on hardware, network and service quality.
