**Role title:** Senior Quality Engineer / Lead Quality Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate **Quality Engineer** with strong expertise in **test automation, quality engineering practices, and modern testing frameworks**. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in **Playwright, Selenium, JavaScript/TypeScript**, and a proven track record of building scalable automation frameworks that enable high-quality software delivery. The candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and engineering teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle by implementing robust automated testing solutions and continuous testing practices. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using **Playwright** and **Selenium**. - Create and execute automated UI, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites. - Develop test scripts using **JavaScript/TypeScript** and follow automation best practices. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and define effective test strategies. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. - Improve test coverage, test execution efficiency, and overall quality engineering practices. - Review application architecture and contribute to testability improvements. - Participate in sprint planning, story refinement, and release activities from a quality perspective. - Perform root cause analysis for production issues and recommend preventive quality measures. - Mentor junior engineers and promote quality-first culture across teams. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills - Strong hands-on experience with **Playwright Automation Framework**. - Experience with **Selenium WebDriver** for web application testing. - Proficiency in **JavaScript and TypeScript**. - Experience in designing and developing reusable automation frameworks from scratch. - Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and quality engineering practices. - Experience with API testing using tools/frameworks such as: - Playwright API Testing - Postman - REST Assured (good to have) - Experience working with modern CI/CD tools: - Azure DevOps - Jenkins - GitHub Actions - GitLab CI/CD - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. - Experience with test management and defect tracking tools: - Jira - Azure DevOps - TestRail (preferred) Quality Engineering Expertise - Test Strategy & Planning - Functional & Regression Testing - End-to-End Testing - Cross-Browser Testing - API Testing - Risk-Based Testing - Continuous Testing - Shift-Left Testing Practices - Test Data Management Preferred Qualifications - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. - Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6. - Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. - Experience working in microservices-based architectures. - Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD best practices. - ISTQB or relevant testing certification is a plus **Experience** - **4-14 years of overall QA/Quality Engineering experience** - Minimum **3+ years of hands-on Playwright experience** - Strong experience in automation framework development using JavaScript/TypeScript - Experience working in enterprise-scale Agile environments **Nice-to-Have Skills** - Accessibility Testing - Visual Testing - Contract Testing - Security Testing Fundamentals - AI-assisted Test Automation - Docker & Kubernetes exposure - Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)
