We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Simcenter X engineering team and contribute to the development of modern, cloud-based SaaS applications. In this role, you will design and deliver responsive, scalable, and maintainable web experiences, collaborate with global cross-functional teams, and help evolve the architecture and capabilities of the Simcenter X platform. You will bring strong frontend engineering expertise, a solid understanding of backend integration, and a passion for delivering secure, reliable, and exceptional user experiences. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, test, and deliver complete user stories and high-quality software features with minimal supervision, translating business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions. - Build scalable, responsive, accessible, and maintainable frontend applications using ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on performance and user experience. - Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs, applying a working understanding of NodeJS-based environments, REST APIs, and modern web architectures. - Collaborate with product management, UX/design, backend engineering, QA, and other global stakeholders across multiple time zones to design and deliver effective end-to-end solutions. - Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, contributing to decisions that improve application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability. - Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot and debug complex issues, optimize application performance, and promote engineering standards, clean code principles, and frontend development best practices. - Develop proof of concepts and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar solutions to improve engineering productivity and product capabilities. **Qualifications** - Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, and TypeScript, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain modern, production-quality web applications. - Experience developing responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible user interfaces, with a strong understanding of modern frontend development practices. - Working knowledge of NodeJS and Python, along with experience integrating frontend applications with backend services using REST APIs or similar technologies. - Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems and experience working within collaborative software development and code-review workflows. - Experience with frontend testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization techniques and tools. - Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities in a global, cross-functional engineering environment.
