ETL Testing Engineer Job Title ETL Testing Engineer / Data Warehouse Tester Experience 4 -10 Years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled ETL Testing Engineer to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in data warehouse and business intelligence environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong SQL skills, hands-on ETL testing experience, and expertise in data validation and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities - Analyze business and technical requirements related to data migration and ETL processes. - Design and execute ETL test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. - Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading from source systems to target databases. - Perform data integrity, completeness, and reconciliation testing. - Verify data mappings, transformation rules, and business logic. - Execute database testing using complex SQL queries. - Identify, document, and track defects through defect management tools. - Perform regression, integration, system, and UAT support testing. - Validate data quality and consistency across multiple platforms. - Collaborate with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders. - Prepare test metrics, reports, and test execution status updates. Required Skills - Strong knowledge of ETL Testing concepts and methodologies. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as: - Informatica - SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) - Talend - DataStage - Ab Initio - Advanced SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation. - Experience with Data Warehouse concepts including: - Star Schema - Snowflake Schema - Fact and Dimension Tables - Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) - Experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Teradata. - Expertise in data quality and data migration testing. - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps). Preferred Skills - Automation experience using Python, Selenium, or ETL automation frameworks. - Experience with cloud data platforms: - Azure Data Factory (ADF) - Azure Synapse - AWS Glue - Snowflake - Databricks - Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hive, Hadoop, Spark). - Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices. - Performance and volume testing experience. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Certification in ETL, Data Warehousing, or Database technologies is a plus.
