Job Description for Multi-Technology QA Engineer Title: - Engineer II Multi-technology Product Test (or Engineer I Multi-technology Product Test) Responsibilities: • Contribute to the success of NetBotz by verifying that software and hardware meet expectations • Report bugs and errors to development teams and assist in troubleshooting issues. • Develop a thorough understanding of the system and create detailed, reusable manual and automated test cases. • Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality throughout the software and product development life cycle. • Review and analyze system specifications (both manual and automated testing). • Collaborate with QA team members to develop test plans and automate test scenarios. • Develop, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Java/Python, Selenium, Playwright, and related automation frameworks. • Debug automation scripts and manual test cases, providing solutions for improvements. • Debug system configurations and networking issues in test configurations • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub. • Execute functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing for software applications and connected devices. • Validate APIs, web interfaces, and network communication protocols. Required Skills and Experience: • Bachelors degree in engineering [E&CE/CS/IT] • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • 2 -5 years’ experience in mainstream testing & testing life cycle. • Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium or Playwright with TestNG/PyTest, and API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools. • Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python for automation development. • Proficiency in GitHub (pull requests, code reviews) and version control best practices. • Understanding networking concepts and protocol like SNMP, TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP etc. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. • Comfortable with basic hands-on hardware handling — opening chassis and swapping field-replaceable components as needed for test setup. Desired Additional Skills and Experience: • Exposure to data center infrastructure, environmental monitoring, DCIM, or network management systems is an advantage • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and integration of automated tests in pipelines. • Experience in performance testing using JMeter or similar tools. • Experience in software testing standards, processes, methodology & tools. • Exposure to embedded systems, firmware testing, or hardware-software integration testing is a plus.
