**Job: Senior Software Engineer(SonarQube Expert). Experience 6 + years** Location - Offshore -Any TechM India. - **About the Role:** - We are looking for a senior SonarQube expert who will focus on optimizing SonarQube adoption, defining best practices, improving developer experience, reducing recurring support issues and guiding platform strategy and roadmap decisions. - The ideal candidate should have hands-on SonarQube expertise combined with the ability to assess platform usage across teams, identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that drive engineering quality and efficiency at scale. **Key Responsibilities :** - Assess current SonarQube adoption and usage across engineering teams. - Define and promote SonarQube best practices, standards and governance. - Review recurring support issues and recommend long-term solutions to reduce ticket volume. - Advice on Quality Gates, Quality Profiles, code coverage strategies and security practices. - Recommend improvements to onboarding, self-service capabilities, templates and developer experience. - Guide strategic decisions related to SonarQube Enterprise, Data Center, and SonarCloud. - Support platform roadmap planning, upgrades, migrations and scalability initiatives. - Define meaningful metrics and dashboards to measure adoption, quality improvements and platform effectiveness. - Evaluate emerging capabilities such as SonarQube MCP, AI-assisted code quality and developer productivity tooling. **Required Skills:** - Strong hands-on experience with SonarQube administration and governance. - Good understanding of SonarQube architecture and core components like web server, computing engine, search server and database. - Experience working with SonarQube Enterprise, Data Center, or SonarCloud environments. - Deep understanding of Quality Gates, Quality Profiles, code coverage, SAST, and technical debt management. - Experience integrating SonarQube with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar DevOps platforms. - Exposure to or awareness of SonarQube MCP (Model Context Protocol) server setup to surface quality data to AI coding tools. - Familiarity with MCP tooling that delivers issue context and fix suggestions within developer IDEs (VS Code, IntelliJ, Cursor, etc.) - Ability to analyze platform usage, identify gaps and recommend improvements. - Experience creating enterprise-wide standards, best practices and onboarding models. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
