Job Description: Squish Automation Engineer (GUI Testing) Role: Squish Automation Engineer Experience: 4 to 10 years Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Squish and Python to design, develop, and maintain GUI test automation for complex applications. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality user interface validation through scalable and maintainable automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain GUI automation frameworks using Squish • Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python • Perform functional, system, and regression testing for GUI applications • Automate Qt/QML-based or similar UI applications • Analyze requirements and translate them into automation test cases and scenarios • Improve test coverage through robust automation strategies • Debug automation failures and work closely with development teams for issue resolution • Maintain test data, reusable libraries, and automation assets • Ensure proper test documentation, reporting, and traceability • Participate in test reviews and continuous improvement initiatives Must-Have Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Squish GUI automation tool • Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation • Experience in GUI testing for desktop or embedded applications (Qt/QML preferred) • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns • Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management • Familiarity with JIRA / ALM tools • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills • Good understanding of SDLC and testing lifecycle Good-to-Have Skills • Experience in Qt/QML-based application testing • Knowledge of C++ (for debugging or automation integration) • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Exposure to embedded systems or HMI applications • Basic understanding of performance or API testing
