Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next. **Overview** Lead the Controls & Information Systems (CIS) team within Engineering, GIC Supply Chain in Mumbai, enabling safe, reliable, standardized and cyber-secure manufacturing operations and digital transformation across the global plant network. You will deliver Enterprise Standards CIS solutions that support Make Digital strategies and line performance, partnering closely with Engineering, Digital & Technology, and Plant Operations. **Key Accountabilities** **Strategic & Functional Leadership** - Translate Engineering GIC and Supply Chain strategy into a clear OGSM for CIS India, with priorities across core controls, plant applications, data, and security. - Maintain a balanced portfolio of CIS projects and services that delivers impact on safety, service, cost, and cash while supporting long term digital roadmaps. - Representing CIS in Engineering and platform forums, ensuring strong integration with Machine Design, M&R, and D&T. - Lead the CIS India team delivering design, configuration, testing, and deployment of controls and information systems for capital projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement. - Own and execute CIS work across: - Core technologies (PLCs, SCADA/HMI, networks, industrial PCs). - CIS Digital (plant applications, visualization, data collection, reporting). - Warehouse & logistics technologies and integration into enterprise systems. - Plant floor security and industrial cybersecurity controls. - Support for EUAU Digital and partnership with CIS OU Leads. - Ensure robust global plant floor support processes -Incident Management, with clear SLAs, escalation paths, and root cause / corrective action discipline. **Digital, Security & Standards** - Implement and maintain CIS standards, architecture, and reference designs for electrical, controls, instrumentation, and platforms of information systems. - Partner with D&T and Security to ensure all CIS solutions meet corporate requirements for safety, cybersecurity, compliance, and data integrity. - Drive lifecycle management for CIS assets (obsolescence plans, patching, backups, disaster recovery) to minimize risk and unplanned downtime. **Business Partnering & Innovation** - Act as the primary CIS business partner for plant leadership, Engineering, D&T, and Operations, converting site and regional strategies into scalable, standard solutions. - Identify, pilot, and scale emerging controls, OT, and digital technologies (advanced visualization, IIoT, edge computing, remote diagnostics) and partner with OEMs and integrators to capture innovation. **People Leadership & Operational Excellence** - Manage, coach, and develop CIS engineers, defining clear roles and development plans and building an inclusive, high-performance culture grounded in safety and integrity. - Define clear roles, expectations, and development plans; support career progression aligned with Supply Chain competencies and technical promotion processes - Establish and maintain standard work, documentation, and audit routines for CIS design, implementation, and support. - Ensure CIS work is tightly linked to asset care strategies, reliability roadmaps, and digital manufacturing initiatives, delivering measurable improvements in uptime, quality, and cost. **Minimum Qualifications** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or a related field). **Experience:** 10–12 years of relevant experience, including visible leadership managing direct reports and influencing across functions. **Technical Skills:** Ability to drive early management of controls and information systems into design, with strong understanding of controls and IT capabilities in manufacturing environments. - Core Ecosystems: Deep expertise in major global automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric). - SCADA & Software: High proficiency in industrial software packages (e.g., Inductive Automation Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware, FactoryTalk View) and database systems (SQL). - Industrial Networking: Strong command of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT) and industrial cybersecurity standards. **Soft Skills:** Strong people leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams. **Preferred Qualifications** - Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics / Instrumentation) or an MBA. - Exposure to Digital Transformation / Smart Manufacturing initiatives. - Understanding of equipment design processes and the tools leveraged in them. **ELIGIBILITY** Applicants must meet minimum age qualifications in the country in which the job is located.
