**Job Position Summary :** We are seeking a professional to join as Senior Manager – Strategy & Projects. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and driving strategic agenda for the department, ensuring alignment with overall business priorities. The role combines strategic thinking, structured planning, and disciplined execution to deliver transformational outcomes in safety, efficiency, compliance, training, and operational excellence. **Key responsibilities :** - Contribute to short-term and long-term **strategic planning** for the department. - Assess current state processes and technologies to identify **opportunities to improve performance** . - Perform **industry benchmarking** and identify best practices that can be adopted. - Determine and cascade priorities throughout the department and drive strategic alignment across leadership. - Assist department heads in **overseeing strategic initiatives** from ideation through successful execution. - Facilitate **cross department collaboration** within Operations as well as with other functions like IT, Finance, etc. - Participate in **periodic operation reviews** (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) on performance metrics and projects. - Develop frameworks and scorecards to measure and track performance. - Implement **project management** best practices. - Be adept with **data analysis** for generating insights and inculcate data-driven decision making within departments - Develop strong understanding of **emerging technologies** , including AI, and their applications within Airline operations **Desired Qualification / certifications** MBA/PGDM from a top-tier business school (IIM/ISB/XLRI/FMS or equivalent). **Preferred relevant work experience** • 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or project management. • Prior exposure in aviation, transportation, or large-scale operations is an advantage (not mandatory). • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills. • Excellent project management and execution discipline. • High comfort with data analysis, performance tracking, and presentation. **Skills and knowledge** • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels. • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. • Self-starter with high ownership and bias for action. ***Akasa Air does not solicit or accept any form of payment from candidates or institutions during its recruitment process.
