Sr. Scrum Master

Job description

• Oversee scrum process and coach the team; facilitate transparency, inspection and adaptation • Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement • Support the Product Manager and team in release planning • Leverage sprint retrospectives to improve team performance across every sprint • Remove impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, coordination w/other teams) • Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & other Agile practices and methodologies • Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other; Create and maintain the appropriate channels for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards, JIRA) to create a trusting and safe team environment • Facilitate discussions leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues • 8-10 years of experience in Agile Development preferred with a deep understanding of agile techniques (e.g. User Stories, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.) • At least 1 successfully delivered project using Scum methodology in the role as Scrum Master • At least 3 successfully delivered technical projects with experience in software development and/or project management • A relevant business degree and scrum certification would be a plus • Experience in the financial services domain would be a plus Immediate joiners would be preferred.
