This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to products for one of the fastest-growing semiconductor markets globally. **Role Summary** The Sr Staff - Embedded MCU Program Management drives end-to-end execution of microcontroller and embedded semiconductor programs, from concept through development, validation, and product release. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, product, and application domains, ensuring alignment across architecture, design, firmware, systems, validation, and product engineering teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with customer and market needs. **What you’ll do:** **Program Leadership & Execution** - Drive end-to-end execution of MCU product programs across concept, development, validation, qualification, and release - Own program schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and cross-functional alignment - Ensure readiness across silicon, firmware, validation, and release milestones **Embedded Product Development** - Support MCU development activities including silicon bring-up, firmware integration, validation, and product qualification - Track key deliverables including design progress, firmware readiness, validation status, and sample availability - Ensure alignment between product requirements, embedded use cases, and system-level performance - Coordinate technical reviews and ensure program readiness across development stages **India-for-India Product Alignment** - Translate India market requirements into actionable program plans - Support definition and execution of MCU-based solutions across automotive, industrial, IoT, and embedded applications - Drive readiness for customer evaluation, reference designs, and product launch **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Partner with teams across architecture, design, firmware, systems, validation, applications, product engineering, and operations - Drive accountability through clear ownership, milestone tracking, and timely escalation - Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership **Risk & Launch Readiness** - Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, validation, and execution risks - Lead project gate reviews, technical readiness checks, and launch readiness - Ensure smooth transition from development to production - 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, MCU, or embedded systems product development - Strong understanding of MCU product lifecycle: architecture, design, firmware, validation, and release - Experience leading complex cross-functional programs in MCU / SoC environments - Strong understanding of embedded systems, including hardware-software interaction, firmware integration, and system validation - Experience working with firmware, systems, applications, or validation teams - In depth understanding of new product introduction and product development flow from concept to production release. - Exposure to AECQ / IATF /ISO26262 and APQP automotive process - PMP certification is not a requirement but will be plus - Proficient with industry standard project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Confluence, Microsoft OneNote **Nice to have** - Experience with MCU or embedded product lines (automotive, industrial, IoT) - Familiarity with firmware, SDKs, RTOS, drivers, and embedded development ecosystems - Exposure to silicon bring-up, validation, qualification, and product release - Experience working with customer-facing or application engineering teams **Key Skills & Competencies** - Embedded MCU systems understanding - Semiconductor product lifecycle management - Technical program leadership - Cross-functional engineering coordination - Risk identification and mitigation - Strong communication and stakeholder alignment - Structured problem solving and execution discipline **Why Join Renesas:** This role offers the opportunity to be part of Renesas’ India-for-India journey and contribute to building MCU-based and embedded semiconductor products for high-growth markets.
