SRE with GCP

Job description

Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, with a preference for Terraform. Build and maintain monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of production services. Operate and support workloads running on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Automate operational tasks and internal tooling using Python and Bash. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery. Implement and maintain security controls and Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies across cloud and application environments. Support production availability by participating in incident response, root-cause analysis, and workaround development. Participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster. Propose and implement initiatives that improve application stability and availability. Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors on technical integrations, using SSO/SAML and related technologies. Establish auditable log trails and support regulatory compliance requirements, such as SOX. Required qualifications 4+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering role. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a preference for Terraform. Experience designing and maintaining monitoring and alerting mechanisms for availability, performance, and incident detection. Experience operating and supporting workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and administration. Proficiency in automation using Python and Bash. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Experience implementing security controls and Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. Experience with technology integration using common standards such as SAML, LDAP, or SSO. Ability to arrive at cross-functional solutions and explain them in technical design documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred qualifications Experience with Elasticsearch for logging, search, or observability use cases.
