**Skillset: Fullstack - Java, Reactjs, CI/CD, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSql /Mongo DB** **Experience range: 9 - 14 years** **About the Team** Walmart's Global Tech Platforms (GTP) organization powers the tools, platforms, and services used by thousands of engineers across the company. As part of the CI/CD Platform team, you will help build and evolve the foundational systems that enable Walmart engineers to continuously build, test, secure, and deploy software. You will work on highly scalable platform services, developer workflows, automation capabilities, and operational tooling that directly impact engineering velocity across one of the world's largest technology ecosystems. Your work will influence how software is delivered across Walmart and ultimately help millions of associates better serve hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. **What You'll Do** - Participate in the development of scalable, cloud-native platform solutions focused on CI/CD and developer productivity. - Build and maintain high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and distributed systems best practices. - Design and develop APIs, platform services, and automation capabilities that improve developer experience and engineering efficiency. - Contribute to frontend experiences using React and modern JavaScript frameworks where appropriate. - Drive technical strategy and influence architectural decisions across multiple teams and platforms. - Partner with product managers, architects, and engineering leaders to define platform roadmaps and deliver business-critical capabilities. - Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD workflows, build systems, deployment pipelines, and release automation. - Own platform operations end-to-end, including reliability, scalability, availability, observability, and incident response. - Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable long-term solutions. - Establish engineering best practices through code reviews, design reviews, technical standards, and mentoring. - Improve platform observability through logging, monitoring, tracing, and operational analytics. - Drive continuous improvements in developer productivity, platform performance, security, and operational excellence. **What You'll Bring:** - Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 10+ years of software engineering experience, including experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems. - 5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Strong proficiency in **Java with deep understanding of object-oriented design, data structures** , algorithms, concurrency, and performance optimization. - Working knowledge of **React, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).** - Hands-on experience with **Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security,** and RESTful service development. - Experience building scalable cloud-native applications and microservices. - Strong understanding of CI/CD platforms, build systems, artifact repositories, automated testing frameworks, and deployment strategies. - Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures, including Kafka or similar technologies. - Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. - Experience with Git-based development workflows and modern software delivery practices. - Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills. - Experience building or operating enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms. - Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with observability platforms including logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing solutions. - Knowledge of platform engineering, Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), and developer experience best practices. - Experience with performance engineering, scalability optimization, and reliability engineering. - Experience working in large-scale enterprise technology environments. **About Walmart Global Tech** Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
