Meet the team: We're building a new engineering organization in Bengaluru to help scale Dexcom's HCP platforms, including Clarity—Dexcom's analytics and reporting platform that transforms CGM data into actionable insights for healthcare professionals. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll serve as a senior technical leader across multiple teams and domains. You'll help define the technical strategy for critical platform capabilities while partnering with engineering leaders in both India and the United States. Our systems support healthcare workflows worldwide, making quality, reliability, scalability, security, and compliance foundational requirements. We value technical leaders who combine deep engineering expertise with pragmatism, mentorship, and a strong sense of ownership. Where you come in: • Lead architecture and technical direction across multiple systems, services, and teams. • Drive long-term technical strategy and platform evolution. • Partner with engineering managers, product leaders, and architects to align technical investments with business objectives. • Identify and resolve systemic scalability, reliability, and operational challenges. • Apply domain-driven design principles to help teams model complex healthcare workflows, define clear service boundaries, and build systems that evolve, maintain, and scale with ease • Lead the design of highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable distributed systems across a polyglot stack (Node, Ruby, Scala, Go, SvelteKit, Ember) • Establish engineering standards and influence development best practices across the organization. • Mentor senior engineers and serve as a technical advisor to multiple teams. • Guide teams through complex technical decisions, trade-offs, and architectural reviews. • Drive initiatives related to platform modernization, observability, developer productivity, and operational excellence. • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, privacy, and compliance expectations. • Lead technical investigations, incident reviews, and strategic improvement efforts. What makes you successful: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership. • Proven track record of leading architecture and delivery for large-scale distributed systems. <
