Staff System Engineer – Power electronics Bangalore , India Job Description We are seeking Staff System Engineers to be key players in a system Engineering team for definition, architectural development and validation of solid-state power device solutions in the areas of computing, Automotive and Industrial. Experience with MOSFETs , SiC and GaN devices is preferred. You are coming from an OEM or semiconductor applications background with 5-10 years of experience in designing and working with power electronics systems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a team that looks to shape onsemi’s next-generation power electronics platforms by collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive key and strategic design wins for the company. Responsibilities • Perform definition and validation of next-generation power electronics system solutions, ensuring alignment with functional safety, performance, and scalability requirements. • Support customer and market requirements by building proof-of-concept systems that demonstrate value to the customer application and therefore promote success for onsemi. • Perform competition analysis, identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and propose relevant innovations to drive differentiation. Qualifications • Master’s in Electrical Engineering, with demonstrated Experience in Power Electronics. • Experience Range : 5-10Years • Deep understanding of solid-state switching technologies (e.g., MOSFETS, SiC, GaN) and their application in AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion topologies and architecture. • Strong background in electrical modeling (SIMPLIS, PSPICE), simulations, and bench testing. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, at the circuit design level as well as on the Bench. • Excellent communication skills.
