Job Title: STB Test Engineer **Experience:** 2 - 5 Years **Education:** B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent Job Description We are seeking a skilled **OTT / STB Test Engineer** with hands-on experience in validating **OTT platforms, IPTV, DTV, and Set-Top Box (STB) applications**. The candidate will be responsible for functional, integration, compatibility, and end-to-end testing across video delivery platforms and devices. Key Responsibilities - Perform testing of **OTT applications**, **IPTV**, **DTV**, and **Set-Top Box (STB)** platforms. - Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing. - Validate video streaming quality, channel navigation, EPG, VOD, Catch-up TV, and live TV features. - Test middleware, firmware, and OTT applications on STB devices. - Verify content delivery across multiple platforms and devices. - Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools. - Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues related to video playback and streaming. - Work closely with development, product, and release teams. - Prepare test cases, test plans, and test reports. - Ensure quality standards are met before production deployment. Required Technical Skills - Strong experience in: - OTT Testing - STB (Set-Top Box) Testing - IPTV Testing - DTV Testing - Knowledge of: - Video Streaming Technologies - Live TV & VOD Platforms - EPG (Electronic Program Guide) - Middleware Testing - Firmware Validation - Understanding of: - MPEG, HLS, DASH Streaming - Video Codecs - Network Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP, RTP) - Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or TestRail.
