Role Description Job Title Subject Matter Expert - Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) Business Unit Finance Reporting To Vertical Head Job Function and Role Type Finance, Individual Contributor, Light Travel Version No 1.0 Job Purpose Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to recommend and deliver technical and functional solutions for timely and accurate requirements. Identify areas for performance improvement through technical and functional expertise. Key Responsibilities 6 - 8 Areas Actionable (4-6) Functional/Technical SME Consulting; Provide SME guidance across domains and systems; Evaluate requirements, perform feasibility analysis, and ensure accurate expertise representation; Diagnose and resolve issues with RCA and permanent solutions. Processes & Maintenance; Maintain and optimize processes for backups, BCP, and data archival; Define standards for change management and task execution; Deliver new capabilities using agile methods; Ensure timely data availability for reporting. Automation & Reporting; Automate reports and repetitive tasks; Re-engineer processes to improve performance and accuracy; Collaborate with input suppliers to optimize timelines; Develop scalable reporting solutions. Stakeholder Management; Build strong cross-functional relationships; Facilitate collaboration across Finance, BIU, and other units; Document processes and disseminate knowledge; Mentor and upskill team members to achieve BIU objectives. Education BE/BTech/MTech/MCA in Computer Science/Information Technology. MBA in MIS/Database Management preferred. Certifications Regular training/certifications on new technologies. Key Competencies Leadership, data warehousing, SQL, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), programming (Python, .NET). Major Stakeholders Support functions and business divisions.
