**Technical Expertise** Review, Develop detailed process documentation including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Review, Develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mass & energy balances, equipment specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Review / Execute critical calculations for utility loads, equipment sizing, and cycle times. Perform equipment selection, and technical evaluation of major process equipment. Participate in project meetings, design reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs, and client engagements. Review/ Perform process simulations (e.g. Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB), cost analyses, and process capability studies (Cp & Cpk) to optimize operations. Assist in the selection of tools, technologies, and vendors tailored to client-specific constraints. Lead engineering execution for EPC/EPCM projects from proposal stage through commissioning. Support bid preparation, technical proposals, cost estimation, vendor evaluation and client discussions Provide construction, commissioning and startup support. Key Accountabilities Key deliverables: Drive value engineering, cost optimization, safety, reliability and operational excellence **Role & responsibilities** **Client Engagement** - Collaborate with client leadership and production teams to examine existing operations, assess workflows, and identify bottlenecks. - Lead the design and development of efficient manufacturing/industrial processes from the conceptual phase to commercialization. • Formulate clear, actionable recommendations for redesigning client systems to align with broader business objectives **Compliance & Risk Management** - Ensure all proposed process designs comply with safety, environmental, and industry-specific statutory regulations (e.g., GMP, ASME etc). - Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and implement robust risk mitigation strategies **Leadership & Interdisciplinary Coordination** - Manage multiple client project workstreams simultaneously, ensuring delivery stays within scope, timeline, and budget. • Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation) and client teams **Preferred candidate profile** **Experience Required:** • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical or Process Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification is added advantage • 10-15 years of experience in EPC/EPCM, Owner's Engineering or Industrial Plant Engineering, ideally with specific exposure to industries like Aluminium, Steel, Non-Ferrous Metals, Mining & Minerals, Cement, Chemical or Heavy Process Industries. • Strong technical expertise and subject matter knowledge in utilities like steam, compressed air, Industrial Gases, Chilled water, Vacuum etc. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex technical findings clearly to relevant stakeholders • Proven experience in both engineering execution and team leadership • Ability to work hands-on on engineering calculations, equipment engineering, design reviews and technical problem solving • Proven ability to lead process engineering scope on complex projects within multidisciplinary environments • Ability to balance technical rigor with practical execution and delivery-focused decision-making Key Competencies • System-level thinking and process integration expertise. • Strong understanding of industrial plant equipment and operations. • Hands-on engineering capability. • Leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams. • Client management and technical troubleshooting. • Commercial awareness and value engineering mindset
