Head – Taxation **Location:** Mumbai **Experience:** 16 –25 Years **Qualification:** Chartered Accountant (CA)/CMA/CFA Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Tax Leader to head the organization's Direct & Indirect Tax function. The role will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide tax strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing tax risks, supporting business growth, and partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives including M&A, restructuring, and international taxation. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in large manufacturing, automotive, FMCG, engineering, or multinational organizations. Key Responsibilities - Lead the overall Direct & Indirect Tax function for the organization. - Drive tax planning strategies while ensuring complete regulatory compliance. - Handle Corporate Tax, GST, Customs, International Taxation, Transfer Pricing, and Tax Accounting. - Lead M&A tax due diligence, business restructuring, acquisitions, mergers, and cross-border transactions. - Represent the organization before tax authorities, tribunals, and regulatory bodies for assessments, audits, and litigation. - Manage enterprise-wide tax risk and strengthen governance frameworks. - Drive tax digitalization, ERP integration, automation, analytics, and process transformation initiatives. - Partner with Finance, Business, Legal, and Leadership teams on strategic tax matters. - Lead tax provisioning, reporting, ETR optimization, and statutory compliance. - Build and mentor high-performing tax teams while driving capability development. - Engage with industry forums, consultants, and government authorities on policy matters
