**Role :** Technical Architect, Java, Microservices Exp Range: 7-12 years Location: Noida Virtual Interview: 20-June-26 Job Description: **Mandatory Skills** We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in Java and Microservices architecture to design, build, and govern scalable, resilient, and high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern development frameworks. **Key Responsibilities** **1.** **Architecture Design & Solutioning** - Design end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture. - Define scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant system designs. - Create architecture artifacts including diagrams, design documents, and technical roadmaps. - Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices. **2. Microservices & API Design** - Define service decomposition strategies, bounded contexts, and API contracts. - Design RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging patterns (event-driven). - Apply microservices patterns such as API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker, and Saga. - Guide teams implementing services using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and related frameworks. **3. Cloud & Platform Engineering** - Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP. - Design containerized applications using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE). - Ensure scalability, resilience, and operational readiness (autoscaling, health checks, zero-downtime deployments). **4. Performance, Security & Scalability** - Define strategies for performance optimization, caching, and load handling. - Implement security best practices including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, API security, and data encryption. - Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and non-functional requirement assessments. - Drive observability standards (logging, metrics, tracing) and reliability improvements. **5. Collaboration & Technical Leadership** - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams. - Collaborate with product owners, engineering managers, and DevOps teams for successful delivery. - Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and release planning; ensure adherence to standards. - Document architectural decisions (ADRs), reference implementations, and best practices. **Required Skills & Qualifications** **Technical Skills** - Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud). - Deep understanding of Microservices architecture, distributed systems, and integration patterns. - Experience designing APIs (REST) and implementing API management patterns (gateway, versioning, governance). - Proficiency with containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes. - Hands-on exposure to messaging/event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent). - Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling; familiarity with caching (Redis) is a plus. - Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices; ability to design delivery pipelines for microservices. - Understanding of observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Application Insights). **Preferred Skills** **Soft Skills** - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams. - Mentoring mindset with the ability to influence technical direction. **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and enterprise design patterns. - Experience modernizing monoliths to microservices (strangler fig, incremental decomposition). - Exposure to service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and API security controls (WAF, rate limiting, mTLS). - Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, policy-as-code). - Relevant certifications in Cloud (Azure/AWS) or Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) are a plus.
