**Azure Data Architect** **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Azure Data Architect** to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining data architecture strategies, designing scalable and secure data solutions, establishing data governance frameworks, and enabling advanced analytics and business intelligence capabilities. This role requires deep expertise in Azure data services, cloud architecture, data modeling, and modern data platform technologies. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture and cloud-based data platforms on Microsoft Azure. - Define data strategy, architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. - Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse solutions. - Lead the design of batch, real-time, and streaming data processing solutions. - Develop end-to-end data integration architectures using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure services. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, analysts, and leadership teams to define data requirements and solutions. - Establish data governance, security, compliance, and master data management practices. - Design data models, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. - Evaluate and recommend cloud-native technologies, data integration tools, and architectural patterns. - Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy data platforms. - Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams. - Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. - Drive performance optimization, scalability, cost management, and operational excellence across data platforms. **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Solutions. - 3+ years of experience designing and implementing Azure-based data platforms. - Strong understanding of modern data architecture principles including Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric concepts. - Experience leading large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives. - Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. **Technical Skills** Microsoft Azure - Azure Data Factory (ADF) - Azure Databricks - Azure Synapse Analytics - Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS) - Azure SQL Database - Microsoft Fabric (Preferred) - Azure Event Hubs - Azure Stream Analytics - Azure Purview / Microsoft Purview - Azure Key Vault - Azure Functions - Azure DevOps **Soft Skills** - Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders. - Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset. - Strong collaboration and cross-functional team management skills. - Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
